This graphic score was prepared with the aim of performing a live electro-acoustic music project with live input and the help of some pre-recorded or real-time recorded samples. The program Max-Msp was used to create essentially a mini-DAW that handles the incoming signal in a certain way and then send it accordingly to the stereo out, along with the samples that also undergo very specific processes. Several subpatches were used within the main patch, some of which have their own subpatches.
Regarding the part of aesthetics and performance, the composition could be categorised as electroacoustic in gengre , and is based on the creation of a fairy-tale but also dystopian soundscape that simulates the sounds of nature (birds - animals - fire - rain - fairies in the forest) with some concern about the future, with elements of thriller and fear of something to happen, which is foreshadowed from the beginning of the track with the word "demolition" that is repeated. At the end, the sound from the samples reverses, slows down , for some it even gets detuned , and finally it reaches a lower pitch while a high-frequency click is heard, rhythmically, like the strikes of a strange clock before it disappears along with the rest of the soundscape.

Maria Kolia is nowdays a freelance audio engineer , sound designer , producer and performer. She was born on 26 October 1995 , in Athens , Greece. . She started playing music self -tought from a very young age , specifically guitar and some keys , and she has participated in a greek pop -rock band named "Domino" playing the keys , in her early adulthood years. She has also attended lessons in electric guitar and music theory at the modern conservatory "Ioannina School Of Music" in Ioannina.
Her first degree was in the subject of Chemistry (University of Ioannina), but she was also won over by music and especially the possibilities offered by technology in its creation . So, after graduating Chemistry , she attended a 2- year course at a public vocational training institute( public ΙΕΚ) at Kifisia , Athens , on the subject of sound engineering and music technology , in which she learned a lot of music theory and history as well as sound recording/mixing techniques . She then participated in an internship as a sound - video technical assistant in the theater and multimedia venue of "Michael Cacoyannis Foundation" at Taurus , Athens, as well as at Musou Music Group as a sound designer - editor . Her knowledge on the subject of Music Technology and Composition was extended by her successful attendance of the MA of "Music Technology and Contemporary Practices" majors "Music Creation with New Media" ,at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens , School of Philosophy , Department of Music Studies ,on which she is currently a senior.
She has good knowledge on how to record , mix and compose music or sound on a DAW, with or without imaging elements. She is also very familiar with music coding programs like Max- Msp and SuperCollider. Moreover, she has participated in many projects including mixing of a multichannel video stream of a play , live recording of choirs/plays , radio broadcasts, AV conferences, sound design for video, compositions of electronic/electroacoustic pieces etc. She works mainly in her home studio or as a freelancer for companies . Home studio is equipped with studio monitors , midi controller , sound card , condenser mic and PC, as well as musical instruments . She also performs live concerts of her electro acoustic pieces.
